A Kids at Hope School
Cedar Valley Elementary is a Kids at Hope school. Some people use the term “at-risk” to describe youth who may have barriers to their learning; but at Cedar Valley, we prefer the term “at hope,” because we know that if we believe in all our kids and teach them to believe in themselves, they will be successful in school and in life.
We teach hopefulness in a variety of ways. One way is by using affirmations every day. Each morning, our Cedar Valley staff make a promise to scholars, and the scholars make a promise as well.
These pledges state our commitment to ensure success for every scholar, as well as the scholars’ commitment to set goals and work hard.

And I will climb to reach those goals and dreams every day.
