KSD Equity Lens
KSD Equity Lens (PDF)
We value our diverse schools and communities, and we are committed to our mission of “Successfully preparing all students for their futures.” To achieve this, we are continuously working to identify and correct practices, policies, and procedures that perpetuate achievement and opportunity gaps, and disrupt institutional bias. For any policy, program, practice, or decision, our KSD Leaders have been equipped to consider five key equity questions. Our Equity Lens or Equity Analysis Tool is adapted from the Portland Public Schools and will be reviewed and updated by the Equity Council in the 2021-22 school year.
